What should we wear to a shoot?

To the right is a mood board of ideas of what to wear, soft tones, layers, textures and light patterns.

The question on everyone's lips! I always say wear what you feel comfortable in, the better you feel in what you wear the better you look. Here are a few tips to help you decide on what to wear:

·      Choose complimentary colours, not identical (avoid the matchy match look - that was back in the 90's!)

·      Avoid brands/logos and bold strong patterns as these can date photos very quickly.

·      Choose 3-4 colours to work with and work them in with textures and layers.

·      Neutral tones, pastels and soft patterns work well together.

·      Choose one colour that will pop amongst the neutrals, like mustards, mauves, navy etc.

. Brands and stores that I love include: Jamie Kay, Wornn, Pip & Lenny, Country Road, Seed Heritage, Jean Jail (Warrnambool), Ryder Loves Miller (Geelong), Juno Boutique (Port Fairy)

What time of day will our sessions be held?

This all depends on the location you have chosen to hold your session.

Outdoor locations: As I am a natural light photographer, I hold my sessions at certain times of the day for that beautiful back lighting and gorgeous natural tones. These are held at Sunset only.

At home locations: I hold my at home sessions at two times during the day. You can choose from either 10am or 2pm. If there are young children or newborns that have set sleep times during the day, I am more than happy to work around that.

How should I prepare our house for a session?

Keep your spaces homely, lived in is perfection! I normally shoot in 2-3 different rooms of the house, so if you are wanting to set up rooms I'd concentrate on the master bedroom, lounge room, kids rooms and hallway.

When and how will I receive my images?

All final images will be sent to you electronically.  There is normally a 1 week turn around for final images. I will send you a link to your email when your gallery is completed. This link will take you to your gallery where you will be immediately able to download, print and share as you please.

Policies around cancellations, illness and bad weather.

If the weather is unkind or if you or a family member are unwell on the day of a session we will reschedule for another date at no extra cost. Likewise, if i am unwell we will reschedule for another time. The last thing I want to do is to bring a cold into a family home with a new baby.

Are there gift vouchers available?

Giftvouchers are absolutely available. You can purchase the full amount or part of an amount of a session. Unfortunately there are no refunds on gift vouchers, so please make sure who you are buying for likes my style of photography.

Still have more questions? Feel free to send me an email here and I will be more than happy to answer them. xxJ.
